Halloween celebrations don’t have to be a sugar overload. With a little creativity, you can whip up festive treats that are both fun and nourishing. Here are four spook-tacular ideas to try this season.

Monster Energy Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ¼ cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Candy eyeballs (optional for Halloween flair)

Directions:

  • In a bowl, mix oats, nut butter, honey, chocolate chips, and vanilla until combined.
  • Roll mixture into bite-sized balls.
  • Press a candy eyeball into each for a spooky touch.
  • Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes before serving.

Pumpkin Patch Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk (or other milk of choice)
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp maple syrup (optional)
  • Toppings: pumpkin seeds, granola, sliced fruit

Directions:

  • Blend pumpkin, banana, almond milk, cinnamon, and maple syrup until smooth.
  • Pour into a bowl and top with pumpkin seeds, granola, and fruit.

Witch’s Cauldron Veggie Dip Cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup guacamole or hummus
  • Carrot sticks, celery, cucumber slices, bell pepper strips, or other colorful veggies
  • Small clear cups (or mini cauldrons if you can find them!)

Directions:

  • Spoon guacamole or hummus into the bottom of each cup.
  • Stick veggie slices upright in the dip to look like “witch’s cauldron spoons.”
  • Serve chilled for a crunchy, festive snack.

Ghostly Yogurt Parfaits

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup mixed berries of choice (blueberries, strawberries, or raspberries)
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • Mini dark chocolate chips

Directions:

  • Layer Greek yogurt and berries in a clear cup or jar.
  • Top with banana slices for “ghost faces.”
  • Use mini chocolate chips as eyes and mouths.
  • Serve immediately for a spooky (but healthy) treat.
